Epilogue

In a dark, ominous room, the deep glow of blue light flows across the different surfaces. From a sort of radar scanner to a few different beeping and flashing computers and machines, a man adjusts one of the machines when a red, slow flashing light begins to blink. He looks at it for a moment before rolling in his chair to another machine and typing at it. He looks at it with sharp eyes for a moment as a mix of emotions spreads across his face. Another person steps into the room, a look of superiority on their face.

“Report.” The superior commands.

“It looks like.. we’ve found another one.” The technician says with a sweat. The superior’s gaze sharpens subtly.

“Report the location and Frequency info to the Generals.” The superior commands again. The technician nods before looking a little nervous.

“Understood. There’s also something else...” he says. The superior looks a bit surprised, raising an eyebrow. “The tests came back for the other Frequency. It appears his son is with them.” He says with an almost worried look as the superior’s eyes widen. 

Many years later, on a bright day where the sun shines vibrantly and the clouds are scattered across the sky, a pair of adults walk down the street. The woman’s hair is long and down and as she walks, she holds a smoothie in her hand, an arm with a tattoo sleeve on it and a couple rings on her fingers, one quite familiar and the other similar to that one. She sips lightly as a large man walks beside her, his long grey hair spiking out with the sides tied back over the back of his hair. His dull blue eyes gaze as he sips a smoothie as well, holding it with a hand with matching rings on his fingers.

A grown Shiori and Hikigaya walk together with smiles on their faces as they drink smoothies before Shiori notices something stapled to a poster board outside of an artisan jewelry shop. She stops and looks at the poster for a moment with an intrigued look. Hikigaya notices and stops to read it too. After a moment, he leans back.

“Hm. What do you think?” He asks. Shiori shrugs a bit.

“Finishing the sequel has me bored. Could be fun?” She proposes as Hikigaya smirks at her.

“Could be.” He says as they smirk together when Alice suddenly pops up in front of them.

“What could be fun?” She asks excitedly as she looks at the two of them. “Sorry, I saw a cat back there that definitely needed some pets.” She says with a giggle. Shiori and Hikigaya smile at her before petting her head and chin at the same time.

“You look like you need some pets.” Hikigaya says as Alice blushes with a dumb look, drooling a little.

“Hoo yeah…” she says before Shiori giggles and starts walking away, sliding a finger across her chin pulling her along.

“Come on.” She says as Alice giggles and skips along, taking both of their hands in hers, a third set of matching rings on her fingers as well.

“So what was it? I didn’t read it.” Alice says as they walk away from the poster, revealing it reads “Fate Burners Club. Heroes Wanted!” along with an address and contact info.
